This ground floor room evokes a real turn-of-the-century feeling, from the carefully chosen antique furnishings to the architectural detailing. Of note are the bay windows which feature beautiful original stained glass windows. Another distinctive feature of this room is the hand-carved woodwork seen in the wall moldings and the ornately carved fireplace. Because of the magnificent and massive king bed, there is not a lot of floor space in this room. There is one armchair in the room itself, and additional comfortable seating in the reading nook just outside the room, as well as in the living room.
